14th Annual Chili Cookoff

The contest is free to enter and there is no registering needed to compete.
NEW THIS YEAR: Because the event has become so popular and some chilis seem to run out before all can taste to vote we will be limiting the amount of people who will be able to VOTE for best chili.
We will be limiting the number of Voting cards to 100 for this year to see how well it goes. If that seems to go well we may up the number of votes for the following year.
As for contestants who bring chili in the name of fairness you personally wont get a voting slip since it is most likely that people will vote for their own chilis. Because of this we are planning on giving all contestants exclusive contestant only gifts just for entering the competition as an incentive for competing.
Chili’s need to arrive by 11:00am
Voting Cards will be begiven out at 11:30
Judging will begin at noon and end at 3 pm.
Bring a large crock-pot of your best chili (with fixings if yours needs it) and a ladle. We suggest at least a 6 or 8-quart size pot. There tends to be many people tasting and judging the chilis. You don’t want to miss votes because your chili ran out.
We will have spoons and bowls for everyone.
There will be electric to keep the chilis warm.
Judging is open to the public SO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH!
Winner will be announced as soon as the votes are tallied.

1st Place will a trophy and receive a gallon growler of mead and a 32oz jar of honey.
2nd Place will receive trophy and a half gallon growler of mead and a 16oz jar of honey.
3rd Place will receive a trophy a J. Bird Wines t shirt and a 8oz jar of honey.
More prizes may be added.
