13th Annual Chili Cookoff

It’s that time of year again where you want chili and mead! 

Our 13th Annual Chili Cook-Off will be Saturday October 18th from 11 am to 3 pm.

• The winery will be open from 10 am to 5 pm.
• We will have the Naughty Bawdy Brigade out preforming 

• There will be artisan vendors for you to shop.
• Open to the Public!

Contest Details

• The contest is free to enter and there is no registering needed to compete.
• Chili’s need to arrive by 11:00am

• Bring a large crock-pot of your best chili (with fixings if yours needs it) and a ladle. We suggest at least a 6 or 8-quart size pot. There tends to be many people tasting and judging the chilis. You don’t want to miss votes because your chili ran out.
• We will have spoons and bowls for everyone.
• There will be electric to keep the chilis warm.

• Judging will begin by noon and end at 3 pm.
• Judging is open to the public
• Winner will be announced as soon as the votes are tallied.

PRIZES

• 1st Place will a trophy and receive a gallon growler of mead and a 32oz jar of honey.
• 2nd Place will receive trophy and a half gallon growler of mead and a 16oz jar of honey.
• 3rd Place will receive a trophy a J. Bird Wines t shirt and a 8oz jar of honey.
• More prizes may be added.
